Williams Perfect Match for Washington

The 'smoke signals' that went up suggesting that the Redskins would move for Eric Berry faded into the ether, as the Redskins picked up a left tackle in Trent Williams. Williams has the quickest feet of the offensive lineman in this year's draft line-up and his speed will allow him to make the crucial blocks in coach Shanahan's defensive-zone set-up.

McNabb and Terrel Ownes to Re-Unite?

Donovan McNabb, the Washington Redskins QB has apparently been asking the Skins' powers that be to snap up wide receiver Terrell Owens. This has come as a bit of surprise considering the 'trauma' that Owens caused when they were together at the Philadelphia Eagles.

McNabb has denied asking for any favours, stating that he just wants to stay settled and is not pushing for anything or anyone, but rumours still abound.

Mike Shanahan is believed to have made it clear that Owens is not on their shopping list and would ideally avoid Owens if another WR could be found. What kind of relationship will that bring if TO does finally play for the Washington Redskins!

It's possible that things have been blown out of all proportion - Owens and McNabb recently met up when shooting Pros v Joes (TV) and a source has said that the possibility of reuniting was loosely discussed.

I guess it's 'wait and see time'.

Washington Redskins Into Next Round

Joe Gibbs' Washington team may be peaking at the right time. With the wyly old coach back in the playoffs for the first time in thirteen years, his outfit looked pretty good in beating the Buccaneers 17-10.

The victory was the sixth straight the team but they only managed who won despite gaining only 120 yards of offense. It was supposedly the lowest total yardage in NFL history for a winning team in a postseason game (Elias Sports Bureau).

Arrington's interception set up Clinton Portis' six-yard run to the line, and Sean Taylor returned a fumble fifty odd yards for another score as Washington took the game and made their way to the next round.
